About Sunshine Coast LETS inc.
MalenyLETS, our neighbour, was the first LETSystem in Australia and was started in 1987.
We started our group as LETShine in Nambour in 1989. In 2004 after amalgamation with Beaches LETS we had a name change to Sunshine Coast LETS.
LETS is especially beneficial to those who are underemployed, self employed, currently unemployed, or retired. LETS creates employment. A member is able to get those neglected jobs done, help other participants in need, and make use of the community's true wealth - the skills and services of its people, without the use of money.
Our once only $10 joining fee contribution with $5 due for renewal at the beginning of each financial year.
New members are gifted 25 RAYS to get trading started!
More information on how to register on our Join page.
People ask, why the $ fee?
We pay our share of the running costs of the CES platform - includes hosting fees, mail-server, domain name and associated technical expenses to keep the software operating. Other dollar expenses include: a yearly payment to Fair Trading, Hall Hire, Printing, Postage, Internet and Phone costs.
We are also a support network for our members, especially in times of need.
